You must use a sanitiser to kill the dangerous bacteria that breed in hot tub water.
The traditional hot tub sanitiser is Chlorine, but it is a harsh and toxic chemical and many people prefer to use an alternative product.
There are a number of products claiming to be 'chemical-free', but many of them are untested and unsafe.
